Many of our client engagements require one-day to one-week long work sessions, more commonly called workshops. Waves of Change prefers to set up what we call Learning Laboratories, a term that came as a result of research done at MIT’s Organizational Learning efforts.
Our learning lab’s allow the sessions to be participant driven, focus on differing learning styles, and allow the facilitator to act as an enabler vs. be the expert. Our sessions are interactive, contain multi-media presentations including video clips to make salient points, and use hands-on activities where necessary as well as case studies and simulations. Our learning labs are designed around real-work issues that allow participants to learn and impact current work issues, thus making the transferability back to the workplace that much faster.
